Who is Gleaming Edge?

Hi! I’m Aaron. I’ve lived in Chambersburg area since 1998, when my family moved here from Minot, North Dakota, eh. I’m a graduate of Cumberland Valley Christian School, where I studied tom-foolery and shenanigans.

Even as a child I had a passion for anything sharp. I received my first knife when I was 5 years old, and it came with a strict list of rules. Some rules were broken, so that knife got confiscated. Fast forward a couple years to 7 year old me. I had a new knife. Broke my dad’s rules again, so that knife got confiscated too. A few years later. Got myself a REALLY nice knife. That knife got confiscated, burned, then thrown into the swamp. Eventually I started understanding what my dad was trying to teach me 😀

Needless to say, I started sharpening at a rather young age. It was something I just seemed to have a knack for. After 30 years of sharpening, a good friend of mine helped me realize that our area needed an expert. I’m excited to serve our community and I thank you for the opportunity. _{-Aaron Frey}
